More regulatory measures mean more government. It is the opposite of democracy. People forgot, or weren’t taught about, or just don’t care about the real Greek meaning of Democracy that means “government by people” (demo=people / cracy = government). The recent phenomena when some ideologic groups fight any ideas that are different from their own attacks democracy when they are against the free speech claiming they are the democracy protectors.
